Well, I'm back home. I didn't do anything but hit barrels Thursday night. Everytime I ran, I either hit the first barrel or second. One time, I got all three. Now, where is my 6 pack.? Just a little humor. We all say, that if you get all 3 barrels, you are the winner of a 6 pack. I'm going to Pittsboro Sunday for a barrel and pole race. I love running barrels but until you try poles , you are missing something.
My daughter Emily, had a 5k run this morning and I was able to sit at my dh service station and watch the race. She won her age division. I was very proud of her.
After the race I came home and washed clothes and hung them out and ironed. Need to gert outside and do yard work but as you can see, I'm sitting here chatting.
My nanny, Ginger, is suppose to deliver here pretty soon. We thought last night was the night but it was a false alarm. I'm so ready for the little one or ones to get here. She is just a big ole pet. I'm ready to start milking her for my soaps and cheese.
I got my Lehman's book in the mail . I have really enjoyed looking and wishing.
I'm very into the Amish way and life. I think we could take a few lessons from them. They seem so at peace with their lifestyles and family. They don't dwell on the materialistic things like we do . Just think, no divorces in the Amish, no gangs, the kids are well mannered and don't get into trouble, have healthier lifestyles. I could live that life but would have to cheat for I need my power. Could do with out the high power bills but still need it. Plus, I can not wear dresses. I'm bow legged and have skinny legs. I look like an olive on toothpicks in dresses. All in all, their little communitys are so interesting and one could not help but be a little envy with it.
Jon Brandon is riding tonight so, Momma is already getting nervous.
We both are riding here in our home town next Friday night. That really puts the nerves on their edges for you want to do really good for your home town folks.

We had this made in December for Mother and Dad. It's dh, Lamar, me, Jon Brandon, David, and Emily. There are 3 that is missing from the photo, Tessa, Brian, and Kasey. They said they had other plans when the photo was made. It's hard to look at the picture and see that my kids are grown. Where did the years go? Jon Brandon, is grown and living out on his own, in the military, and riding bulls, David, who will turn 18 in April, but still looks 12 and then the baby, Emily who will turn 14 in September. I can remember when they were little just thinking how I couldn't wait till they got older. Now, as I sit here, what I wouldn't give to have them little again. As my dear Great Grandmother use to say," When they are little, they are on your toes, when they are grown, they are on your heart." There are never been any truer words than that. They have turned out to be great kids, never really given me trouble. So, I must have done something right. ? They went through the nasty divorce with me when I divorced their dad and I was afraid they would have trouble with it but they handled things like little adults, no, they handled it better than I did. I was very worried how they would handle things with me marrying Lamar, but they said to go for it. I did and never have I been any happier. Not only are they my kids but they are my friends. We are closer now than we have ever been. We all enjoy the same things and they just make life that more enjoyable. I do miss the sticky, stinky little hugs when they were little but wouldn't take nothing for the the strong arms and shoulders to lean on now.

For the past couple of days, I didn't know whether to scratch my watch or wind my a**. I have been on the go. Not complaining, it just takes time getting back into the swing of things. I say every year at the end of the rodeo circuit that next year I'm just going to pick and choose where I want to run. Well, come the new year and I'm on the road again. My house looks like a tornado came through but I don't care. If anyone comes to visit they had better be coming to see me not the house. It has really been pretty for several days. This week, it's suppose to be up in the 70's. YIPPEE!!!! I'm so ready for warm weather. I's ready to get my flowers in the ground and get my garden going. I have been cleaning out the stalls and dumping the stuff in the garden. Hope that will help things.
I came home today and my friend, Tracey had sent me some soap. It smells so good. I can't wait to try it.
Jon Brandon rode Friday night and only rode for 6 seconds. It was with a different rodeo circuit and the bulls were pretty bad. His form looked good and everything but he just couldn't ride the buck out of it.
Gotta go and start washing clothes and start supper.

Went to the rodeo Saturday night. Like to have missed my run. When I walked up to the gate they were calling my name, I just had to jump on and go. Lamar missed my run. I guess that is what he gets for being so slow!!!! Had a good run , lost my reins going to the 3rd barrel but got a hold of them and went wide but we ran a 15,8. We ended up placing 10 out of 40 barrel runners. Was proud of my mare. Jon Brandon rode for 8 seconds. He ended up with a score of 66 and a 71 is what won it. Was VERY PROUD OF HIM.
I ended up sick Sunday. I don't know if I caught something or had food poisioning. I was very sick. I missed work yesterday and really needed to stay at home today but went on anyway.

This isn't really a good picture but I have Dass out and going again. Gosh, it felt good to be back in the saddle and competting again. I didn't realize that I make faces when I'm running. It was really cold. That was okay, for I really did have fun. I ran a 15.7 in this photo and I haven't got the picture from the Saturday race , I didn't push Dass, I just let her do her own little thing and we ran a 16.336. That was a good time considering I was holding her back.
I'm back running with the rodeo circuit again. I run this Saturday night at Houston then I head out to Tunica for the next weekend.
Jon Brandon rode for 8 seconds Saturday night and I missed it. I wasn't able to go. We are both signed up for the same night next weekend. I think I'm going to change rodeo circuits and run with the one he runs with so the family won't be so spilt up and running here and there.
Look, isn't she just laying down. I can't help but brag on her.

I'm telling you I need computer classes. If I was on that new show, 'Are you smarter than a 5ht grader?' I would be on of those blubbering people who would look right into the camera and say, " I'M NOT SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER!!!!!!"

I really need some computer lessons.
Well, the article came out in the paper yesterday. It was a good article. I don't know how to work a computer so I am going to try and post the article. Everyone commented on how good the article was. I'm telling you, Regina knows how to capture someone's attention.
We have been under a tornado watch all day. Will stay under one until 6p.m. It got pretty bad this morning but not enough to run to the storm house. I hope that all my farm-girl friends in neighbouring states have faired as well as we have. This is a pretty bad moving front.
I recieved an email from a friend of mine who is over seas near Irag. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. He has a wife and two small kids that are here. I can imagine what Leigh is going through. I know how Jason's parents feels for Jon Brandon will be leaving soon.
I have a race coming up this weekend in Houston, I just hope that Dass is ready. I honestly feel like she is. Then I have a rodeo the next weekend, a super weekend race the next, which is for 4 days of racing, and then, I end the month up with a rodeo. I'm getting back in the swings of things. Life is being to feel normal again. Going here and there sometimes can be overwhelming but I love it. When you are doing what you love then it doesn't seem to bad.
We are having another cloud coming over us so I'll go for now.
